Imam Dr. Abdel Nuriddin

The accomplished seventy-five-year-old Imam is married with three children. Imam Nuriddin established his faith in the religion of “Al-Islam” as a result of studying the Holy Qur’an, the Bible, and the life of Prophet Muhammed under the adeptness of Imam W. Deen Mohammed.

Preceding that research was his initial practice of “Islam” in 1972 under the leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.  Imam Nuriddin’s religious training led him to the completion of Hajj (pilgrimage) to Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 1981.  In 1983, he was a guest of the Saudi Arabian Government who invited him once again to perform Hajj.

 

He also served as the Resident Imam of Masjid Nu’man in Buffalo New York from 1980 to 1988. Imam Nuriddin also served as an Associate Imam to Imam Ezekiel Pasha of the world-renowned Masjid Malcolm Shabazz in Harlem NY from 1992 to 1995.

 

Imam Nuriddin also served as the Resident Imam of Ummil Ummat Islamic Center in Greensboro NC from 2009 to 2012.

 

Dr. Nuriddin, served as a personal assistant to Imam W. D. Mohammed, as Chairperson of the Muslim Community’s Monitoring Team, from 1999 until 2005.

 In 1999 Imam Nuriddin, traveling with Imam W. Deen Mohammed and a delegation of 90 participants from the United States, attended a global inter faith conference at the Vatican in Rome Italy hosted by Pope Paul II.

 

In 2005 Imam Nuriddin Traveled to Israel on an interfaith Mission with Christians and Jews.

 

 Imam Nuriddin served on the Greensboro North Carolina Human Relations Commission from 2006 to 2012 and became the first Muslim to serve as it’s chairperson in 2010.  

 

Imam Nuriddin also served a 3-year term on the War Memorial Commission in Greensboro North Carolina, where he became the Commission’s Vice Chair. He has served as a Member of the Steering Committee of the Greensboro Religious Leaders Forum.

 

Imam Nuriddin is a regional board member of the National Conference of Community and Justice, Emeritus Status. He currently serves as the Chairperson of Veterans United of Greensboro North Carolina.

 

Dr Nuriddin, received his BA and MA in Nutrition from the American Holistic College of Nutrition in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition, Dr. Nuriddin holds a PhD in Holistic Nutrition from the American Holistic College of Nutrition.  His Doctorate Degree in Naturopathy is from the Clayton School of Natural Healing also in Birmingham, Alabama. 

 

Dr Nuriddin has studied holistic health with Dr. Bill Horosh, Dr. E. C. Watkins, Mr. Michael Coyle, and Mr. John Andrews MH, Ir, of the United Kingdom. He is a Diplomat of Holistic Iridology awarded by The International Institute of Iridology class of 2008.

 

Combining his business skills with his practice as a Master Herbalist and Nutritional Consultant has afforded Dr. Nuriddin a diverse clientele throughout the United States to whom he provides health services, nutritional products, and wellness advice.  In the past he offered such services from his Genesis Health & Nutrition Center in Buffalo, New York.

 

Today Dr. Nuriddin lives in Greensboro, North Carolina where he owns and operates Genesis Health & Nutrition Center LLC with his wife Connie.

 

Dr. Nuriddin is the author of three books, Help Yourself to Ultimate Health, Causes, symptoms, & solutions, and The Five Essentials of Balanced Health. 

 

Dr. Nuriddin is a sought-after speaker in Mosques, Churches, on College and University campuses throughout the United States of America and Caribbean and he holds a number of awards and citations for community work.

​

He has been a columnist on health matters for the international newspaper Muslim Journal for over thirty years.

 

For 22 years Imam Nuriddin has been the Executive Producer and Host of a live call-in weekly TV program. This program is produced on cable 8 TV, and viewed each Wednesday at 7:00PM in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina.
