No Confirmed Moon Sighting Reports

 

The First Night of Ramadan will be Wednesday March 22nd and the First Day of Fasting is Thursday March 23rd.

As-Salaamu-Alaikum!

There have been no confirmed sightings in the continental USA meeting the criteria of the Conveners of Imams. Therefore, the first day of fasting will begin on:

Thursday March 23, 2023

Our criteria includes:

​

• Sighting must be by the naked eye

• Name of the person reporting the sighting

• Location of the sighting (must be in the continental USA)

• A photo of the moon

​​

 

The Conveners of Imams pray that Muslims around the world have a wonderful and blessed Ramadan, no matter which day they begin the fast.
